Cybertalk

Dear Readers,

When I was your age, in every group I was as a younger we used to publish a newletter.... typed on what we used to call "stencil" paper, and then printed by a big machine.... that was the cheapest way.... we did not have enough money to go to a proper printer! But we were very proud of what we used to do. We even dared to call the person reponsible "Editur"! Later, after my generation came the photcopier, cleaner and smarter but not printing and still expensive. Now we have the world wide web! No need for printing or postage or running from door to door to distribute the newsletter! It does not have only a village audience... but literally a world audience... in seconds.

Recently, I have visited Harvard University and saw a part, yes only a part, of the first computer... referred to as mainframe computer... it was huge! However, with your PC can do probably work the same computations.

So technology is cheaper and more accessible... to the digital generation!

Please use it NOW!!!! Share your good ideas with the WORLD. At my Institute, DISCERN, I have a brilliant Research Officer on aq full time basis.... he started a a volunteer. He discovered DISCERN while he was studying at the University of Bath.... while browsing the internet he found out the we needed volunteers... he emailed me... and from their we never looked back.

So w can spread the YCW message via internet: LET'S DO IT!
